So apparently, while we were down in Murray, Stormageddon 2011 hit L'ville. We came home last night to widespread power outages, downed tree limbs, and a big mess. Our neighbor's Bradford Pear tree had split and the limbs were moved out of the road already. Sticks and stems and leaves were all over the yard. Lawn furniture was tumped over and moved. The big table umbrella was in the pond (and ruined).
But at least we had power and cable and Internet connection. It appeared that much of our neighborhood did not.
Found out today that 200K are still without power - including Will's dad. Will is going to stay with us one more night (yay!). In fact, this storm caused such a mess that the first day of school has been cancelled for JCPS. CRAZINESS!
